Who is this course for?
Five Lessons
1. Building strong jazz melodies using chord tones and rhythm
Learn how to create musical lines that already sound like jazz — without relying on scales or fast licks.
2. Connecting phrases through ii–V–I progressionsHow to smoothly move through changes using voice leading, targets, and simple bebop movement.
3. Using bebop language to develop real solos
Add chromaticism, approach notes, enclosures, and bebop phrasing in a musical way.
4. Writing a complete original melody over a jazz progression
Take the concepts from the first weeks and create your own melodic jazz head step by step.
5. Creating a full improvised solo from your melodic ideas
Turn motifs and melody fragments into flowing bebop
improvisation that sounds connected and intentional.
