Jazz articulation lesson - Bernie's tune

Updated: Dec 24, 2020

Jazz articulation lesson - Bernie's tune - jazz etude - concentrating on jazz articulation (for beginners, intermediates).

Do you struggle sounding authentic with your jazz soloing. Part of this may be the way you are articulating your solos. It's extremely important to address this, no matter what notes you play, if they don't swing or aren't articulated correctly, your solos won't sound as good as they could!

Check out this video where I talk about how to articulate (for starters) swing quavers in your solos!

The etude I created for this was the famous standard loved by Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker is 'Bernie's tune'.

All of the subscribers to our newsletter received this etude for free in their email! If you would like to subscribe to the news letter, click the link (you'll also receive our most popular jazz etude book 'Dixieland Delights').
