Pennies from heaven muted trumpet.
Hi guys, I wonder if you can guess the famous trumpet player that inspired me to record this melody?
I have always loved Miles. In fact one of the first tapes I ever had was of Miles. I was only about 11 years old and very new to listening to the music but there was something about that muted sound I loved and still do today.
As I always tell everyone in my Patreon, listen, listen and then listen some more! That is the way to sound more authentic in your approach to playing any genre of jazz.
I hope you enjoy the recording. I will be trying to do some more in the coming days/weeks.
Let me know if you have a favourite tune you might like recorded in this style.
