Samba de Orfeu - Jazz etude pdf

I have just created a jazz etude over the classic Samba standard 'Samba de Orfeu'.

One of my favourite players is the amazing trumpet Clark Terry. In 1977, Clark was a featured guest at the Montreux jazz festival!

As a very young player I bought an LP of some of the highlights of the concerts from that year.

Here is a video showing Clark, playing amazingly, with Oscar Peterson and Ronnie Scott along with Joe Pass on guitar!

When you hear Clark play his amazing solo, it quickly becomes apparent that only the likes of him can attempt such a virtuosic feat of musicianship!

This is why I have created jazz etudes, so intermediate players can attempt to play solos over standards whilst developing their own vocabulary!

Here is a video where I talk about how to develop jazz vocabulary through playing jazz etudes!

Here is the link to a video of my jazz etude on Samba de Orfeu.
